RENO, Nev. (AP) - A.J. West scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Nevada ended an eight-game losing streak on Monday, routing Marshall 83-55.

Marqueze Coleman added 13 points and Michael Perez 12 for the Wolf Pack (3-8).

Nevada outrebounded the Thundering Herd (4-8), who shot 26 percent, 59-35. The Wolf Pack had been shooting 37 percent but shot 46 percent to score 25 points above their average.

West, who was questionable for the game after missing the previous game with a heel injury, had 15 points in the first half as the Wolf Pack took a 38-30 lead.

Nevada opened the second half with a 27-6 run as the Thundering Herd were in the process of shooting just 7 of 29 (24 percent), including 1 of 11 from 3-point range. They finished 5 of 28 beyond the arc.

Justin Edmonds led Marshall, which has lost eight of its last nine, with 10 points.

Nevada is 3-8 after defeating Marshall (4-8) 83-55 tonight.

The win snapped an eight-game losing skid for the Wolf Pack.

The Wolf Pack now leads the series with the Thundering Herd 3-2.

Nevada hosts Northwest Christian (9-3) on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The 83 points is a season high for the Pack. The previous high was 69 against Adams State.

Nevada's biggest lead of was 32 points with 4:24 to play in the game.

Marshall scored the first two points with 19:36 to play and Nevada led the rest of the game.

The Pack had season-highs in points (83), assists (18), field goals made (31), field goals attempted (67), field goal percentage (46.3) and rebounds (59).

Nevada outrebounded Marshall by a season-high 24, 59-35.

Head coach David Carter is now 92-83 in his sixth season at Nevada. The 92 wins is one more than Len Stevens (1987-93) and moved him into sixth on the Nevada career victories list.

The Pack received a season-high 30 points from its bench.

All 13 players on the rosters saw action for the first time this year and 10 scored.

Junior AJ West posted his third double-double of the season finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. The 16 points and 10 rebounds were both game highs. It is his fifth career double-double.

It was the sixth time West recorded a game-high in rebounds and fourth time he had double figures rebounds.

West led the Pack in scoring for the third time and sixth time in rebounding. It was his sixth double figure scoring game.

Junior point guard Marqueze Coleman (13 pts) and senior guard Michael Perez (12 pts) also scored in double figures.

Coleman has scored in double figures a team-high nine times. It was the seventh time Perez reached double figures in the 28th time in his career.

Perez made his 43rd consecutive start tonight.

Nevada had its fourth different starting lineup in the last four game; West, D.J. Fenner, Perez, Coleman and Robyn Missa.

Freshman Elijah Foster posted career highs with six points and seven rebounds.
