Trademark and Licensing

University of Nevada Trademark, Branding and Licensing
The mission of Nevada Athletics’ trademark and licensing program is to champion, promote and protect the brand of the University of Nevada through the use of its name and logos. Our licensing program ensures that the University's logos are used in a proper manner to uphold the University's vision of excellence, class and integrity.

Licensing Guidelines
Any person, business, or organization desiring to use Nevada trademarks or verbiage on any product – including premiums, promotions and advertising – must contact Patti Rogers at patriciarogers@unr.edu.

Campus Organizations and Departments
Campus Colleges, Schools, Departments, Centers and Units must apply for permission to us our trademarks by getting pre-approval for athletics marks from Patti Rogers (patriciarogers@unr.edu) and pre-approval for all University and academic-related marks from J'Neal Hachquet (jhachquet@unr.edu).

Photography and Video Policy
Photographs, film/videotape, drawings or audio descriptions made or taken by any credential-holder may be used solely for reporting the athletic event as a news item. Any secondary commercial use of photographs, film/videotape, drawings or audio descriptions of the athletic event or its participants made or taken by the credential holder or the accredited organization to which a credential is issued is prohibited without prior specific written permission of the University of Nevada.

Becoming a Licensee for Merchandise Sales
Any person, businesses or organizations that wish to produce items with the University of Nevada trademarked logos and brand must first become a licensee. To become a licensee, you must complete a licensing agreement with the University's licensing agent, CLC. You can contact Nevada’s CLC licensing rep, Allison Mintz, by telephone at (909) 520-2355 or by email at allison.mintz@clc.com. Additional information about the licensing process can be found on CLC’s website.
