STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. – The Nevada Ski Team concluded the first day in Steamboat Springs competing in the RMISA Alpine CU Invitational with
Jeger Halbjorhus and
Jessica Blackburn leading the way for the men and women Thursday afternoon in giant slalom.

The Pack men kicked things off at 8:30 a.m. mountain time with the first run. J. Halbjorhus led the squad from the jump, placing 21
st with a run time of 54.77 heading into the second run. His performance allowed him to finish within the top-25 after his second run down the mountain (56.62), coming in with the 24
th ranked time to place 25
th overall (1:51.39).
Andreas Unhjem Smith came in 33
rd after securing 38
th and 33
rd ranked runs to climb up the standings and finish 33
rd overall (1:53.50). Just behind Unhjem Smith was E. Halbjorhus in 34
th.

Later in the afternoon, the Pack women were represented by the duo made up of Blackburn and
Elle Murphy. Blackburn redeemed herself in the second run climbing up seven spots to record a 34
th ranked run (1:02.16) to finish 37
th overall followed by Murphy in 48
th.

The Pack will continue tomorrow in Steamboat Springs competing in the Spencer James Nelson Memorial Invitational in giant slalom.
