BIG SKY, Mont. - The Nevada Ski Team wrapped day one of the RMISA Championships as the giant slalom was contested Friday at Big Sky Resort in Montana.

The Wolf Pack sits in eighth place on the team leaderboard with 62 points. The teams will return to the mountain for Saturday's slalom competition.

On the men's side, Ryan Herhusky led the seven Wolf Pack skiers, finishing 22nd with a combined time of 1:55.24 over his two runs. Herhusky shaved 2.1 seconds off of his first-run time of 58.67, crossing the line in 56.57 on his second and final run.

Jules Baur (1:55.47, 24th) and Iver Walday Naess (1:55.76, 25th) joined Herhusky in representing Nevada in the top 25 of the 50-man field.

Jessica Blackburn edged into the top 25 of the women's competition, turning in a combined time of 1:57.68 (59.82 / 57.86). Elle Murphy, the only other Nevada women's skier in the field, came in 40th with a combined time of 2:03.58.

Utah's Mikkel Solbakken won the men's giant slalom in 1:52.94, while Colorado's Denise Dingsleder took the women's competition in 1:53.40.
