Lihue, Hawai'i - The Nevada Women's Golf team continued play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Tuesday, posting a second round team total of 298 to sit 4th at +6 (284-298=582).
Gabby Kano led the way for the Pack in round two, posting a two under-par 70. Kano's round was highlighted by four birdies offset by two bogies. Kano started strong birdieing three of her first holes to go out in three under 34. Kano sits in 6th heading into tomorrow's final round. Kano also sits second in the field for par-4 scoring average at 3.89.
Next best for the Pack on day two was
Anna Shultse, who posted a three over-par 75 that included one birdie and four bogies. Shultse will look for more birdies in tomorrow's final round, she sits in 28th place.
Coco Kolbas showed fight in round two, fighting back after a five over through three start. Kolbas played the final 15 holes in one under-par to post a 76. Kolbas' round was highlighted by three birdies and she will look to climb into the top-ten in the final round, as she will start the round in 18th place.
The final counting score for the Wolf Pack came from
Marina Nonaka who posted a five over-par 77. Nonaka's round was highlighted by one birdie. She heads into the final round in 104th place and will look for a cleaner card tomorrow.
Rounding out the Pack starting five's scores was
Nikki Chindavong who posted a ten over-par 82. Chindavong birdied her final hole of the round but struggled on the day. She will look for more of her first round form in tomorrow's final round, she sits 83rd.
