Box Score TEMPE, Ariz. - Nevada women's basketball began the Briann January Classic hosted by Arizona State on Friday afternoon, falling to San Francisco, 68-45.
Nevada kept pace in the first half, even out-shooting San Francisco from the paint, 41.9 percent to 36.8 percent. Heading into halftime, they were only down by six, 33-27.
The second half began in favor of the Pack, scoring the first six points of the third to tie the game at 33.

Makayla Carter all had layups that led to the tie.Â
However, the Pack continued to struggle with taking care of the ball, recording 21 turnovers on the night that led to 24 points for the Dons. A 17-0 run in the third quarter by San Francsico put Nevada in a hole they couldn't come out of. Nevada also struggled from beyond the arc, 0-for-9. Defensively, they held San Francisco to just 22 percent from three.Â
Ahrray Young had eight points, seven rebounds and three assists. Williams recorded nine points with four rebounds.
Nevada will play its final game of the event tomorrow at 11 a.m., taking on McNeese State.
