RENO, Nev. - Nevada (0-3) opens its 2026 home slate with a three-game weekend series against Utah Valley.

Due to inclement weather early in the week, the originally-scheduled four-game series has been reduced to three games, with a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Game 2 will shortly follow the conclusion of Game 1. Sunday's finale is set for an 11 a.m. start.

All games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and MW App. Nevada fans can also get the audio broadcast on The Varsity Network with Wolf Pack Baseball alumnus Zak Basch on the call.

ABOUT UTAH VALLEY
Utah Valley (2-2) split its season-opening series at Pacific last weekend. The Wolverines nearly took the series, being denied a 3-1 weekend in Sunday's 3-2, 10-inning loss.

Hunter Katschke hit two homers and drove in three runs for Utah Valley, while mason Hamlin led the offense with five hits and Brody Block drove in a team-high five runs.

Reliever Carter Seely picked up a win over his two appearances, and Landon Zamborowski had the best outing of the staring corps, allowing just two hits and striking out eight over six scoreless innings Sunday. Opening Day starter Colton Kennedy allowed just one run on two hits with seven strikeouts over five innings.

BEEN OVER A DECADE...
This weekend's series marks the first meeting between Nevada and Utah Valley since 2014. That season, the Wolf Pack defeated the Wolverines, 4-2, in the only meeting of the campaign on May 13.

The teams have played 24 times, with Nevada holding an 18-6 edge in the all-time series.
