Hall of Fame Weekend set for Sept. 10-12
Rhonda Lundin Bennett is in her ninth year at the University of Nevada and currently serves as a senior associate athletics director.
In her current role, Bennett oversees six of the Wolf Pack's 16 sports (women's basketball, baseball, women's soccer, women's swimming and diving, men's golf and women's golf). She also acts as Nevada's senior woman administrator. She serves as a member of the senior administrative team and acts as a liaison to the Mountain West Conference. She is a member of the MW Recognition Committee and served as a member of the MW Executive Committee and chair of the MW Senior Woman Administrator committee in 2013-14. She is also active in the community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada since 2011.
Bennett brings over 18 years of full-time college athletics experience to Nevada and joined the Wolf Pack staff in September of 2005. Prior to moving into sports administration in 2010, she headed up Nevada's athletics communications efforts. She moved from assistant director to associate athletics director in five years and served as the primary media relations contact for the Wolf Pack men's basketball team from 2005-09, which was nationally ranked for two years, earned four postseason appearances and won four Western Athletic Conference regular-season championships.
Prior to Nevada, Lundin spent six years at Arizona State University where she was the primary media relations contact for the Sun Devils' nationally ranked women's basketball and women's golf teams. She also served as the assistant contact for ASU's nationally ranked football squad and edited the school's award-winning football media guide.
A native of Hillsboro, Ore., Lundin also spent time at Kansas State University and the University of Minnesota in her career. She earned her bachelor's degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in 1996, where she got her start in college athletics as a student intern in the Wildcats' sports information office.
