Dale Codrington joined Nevada Athletics in September 2024 as Associate Athletic Director of Events & Facilities.
In this role, Codrington and his team have overseen Nevada's increased responsibilities in hosting national, regional, and conference championship events. Already since his arrival he has facilitated Nevada's successful hosting of the 2024 NCAA Cross Country Mountain Regional, the 2025 NCAA Men's Golf Reno Regional, the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track & Field Championships and the 2026 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Softball Championship.
Additionally, Codrington and his team have provided oversight of Nevada's hosting of multiple indoor track & field meets at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center since the inaugural events in 2024-25.
Administratively, Codrington's duties include fiscal oversight of the annual facility budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-saving measures, serving as the primary operational partner for coaching staffs and team personnel, and in capital projects such as the state-of-the-art indoor track & field complex at the RSCC, the University's new indoor fieldhouse (expected completion date: October 2026) and the development of the GSR Arena, expected to be home to Nevada Men's Basketball for the start of the 2027-28 campaign.
A member of Nevada's senior leadership team, Codrington earned national recognition with his selection to the 2026-27 NCAA Dr. Charles Whitcomb Leadership Institute's 2026-27 cohort. He had previously been part of the MOAA Rising Star Academy in 2025-26 and with the USOPC FLAME Cohort in 2019.
Codrington came to Nevada after spending the 2023-24 season as Assistant Athletic Director of Events & Facilities at Fresno State and prior to that was Operations Coordinator for the Pac-12 from 2022-23. He began his full-time career as Event Operations Assistant with the Kansas City Chiefs from 2021-2022.
Codrington graduated with his bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in business management from Bryant University, and earned his Master's of Professional Studies in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown in 2020.
