SAN JOSE, Calif. - Nevada volleyball dropped a four-set match to San José State tonight after winning the first and falling in three straight.
The Pack found themselves down, 10-7, in the first before going on a 7-0 run to take the lead. They didn't give it up for the remainder of the opening set, getting the victory, 25-19.Â
Nevada couldn't keep its momentum up as San José State tied it up with one set a piece before leading 2-1 and getting the 3-1 win.Â
Sets two and three were close as the Pack only fell by two, 23-25. In the third, Nevada even had a higher hitting percentage with a .211 compared to San José State's .115.Â
Despite the fourth being even with 12 kills a piece, Nevada fell 25-19.Â
Mckaley Herr led both teams in kills with a season high 14, followed by
Nicanora Clarke and
Haylee Brown with 11.
Audrey Jensen led in assists with a season high 33.Â
Nevada will remain on the road to face Fresno State on Saturday at 1 PM.
