DAVIS, Calif. - After nearly three weeks without a match, Nevada Women's Tennis took on UC Davis Saturday, falling to the Aggies, 4-3.
Things started off well for the Pack (3-4) as the tandems of
Petra Janigova and
Kariman Buqai along with
Marlene Foerster and SIlvia-Maria Costache picked up wins to capture the doubles point.
But UC Davis made a comeback in singles. The Aggies took each of the top four slots, with wins at Nos. 2 and 4 coming in straight sets. The Wolf Pack's victories came at No. 5 with Costache's 6-4, 6-0 victory over Aileena Hu and at No. 6 with
Wiem Boubaker outlasting Isabella Bringas 6-2, 6-7 (7), 6-3.
Nevada completes the road trip Monday with an 11 a.m. first serve at Santa Clara.
