Nevada (17-11) got its runs on an RBI single from Mikey Cruz Jr., who extended his hitting streak to 13 games, and Jayce Dobie's solo homer in the sixth.

Hornet starter Devin James evened his record at 1-1, tossing three shutout innings before handing off to a quartet of relievers who held the Pack to two runs on five hits.

Nevada returns to Reno to begin a four-game home stand Tuesday at 6:05 p.m. against UC Davis.
